Decentrala is a community, united around the principles of decentralized technology and the spread of knowledge.
Key values include:
- Equal access to technology
- Free software
- Privacy and security
- Only open-source services are hosted on the Decentrala architecture.
- Donations are accepted only from individuals, with no conditions or obligations.
- Parts of the statute can be defined immutable, and cannot be voted on.
- Every member or group have the right to act in the name of Decentrala, if their initiatives align with Decentrala’s goals and statute, As long as their events are announced and explained on Decentrala’s public digital communication channels.
Decisions about the rules and statute are made by an independent voting council, which operates on principles of direct democracy.
- A member can step down from council at any time at free will.
- A member can also be removed from council by a two-thirds majority of present council members.
- If a member does not attend three consecutive meetings, they are automatically removed from council.
- A member can rejoin council by following the standard procedure for new members, provided they are present at the meeting.
- A meeting is valid if at least three members are present.
- Meetings must be announced at least one week in advance on the Decentrala forum.
- Votes are only allowed on topics that were announced on the forum at least one week in advance.
- Meetings must be held at least once every two months.
